Dubai: Man jailed, fined Dh2,000 for attempting to steal a car with woman inside

The Dubai criminal court has sentenced an African woman to two years in prison for deportation and fined her 30,000 dirhams.
The court order came in the wake of a complaint filed by an Asian man alleging that he was attacked and robbed by a group of four African women.
He was also convicted of seducing an Asian man into a fake massage parlour and forcibly stealing his debit card. The case was started in September last year.

According to the statement given during the investigation, he called the number to a massage center,which posted an ad on social media, and agreed with to visit the centre.
As soon as he arrived at the centre on time, he was surprised to see an African woman pushing him into the apartment and three other women waiting for him with sticks in their hands. After beating him, the women forced him to give his debit card and PIN number, after which one of them left the center to withdraw money, while the others attacked him and took a photo.

Immediately after the woman returned, the accused allowed him to leave, but threatened to post the photos on social media if he reported the incident to the police. This is an apartment rented by an African man who was outside the UAE at the time.
Investigators also found that one of the suspects was in the neighboring emirate, and they arrested her. She admitted that she had joined others to attract men through an ad showing a European woman offering massage services.
