UAE: Radars to catch tailgaters Dh400 fine, 4 black points to be issued

22/04/2022

Those who do not keep a safe distance will be fined 400 dirhams and 4 black points.
Ras Al Khaimah police said in a video shared on Twitter that adequate distance between vehicles was essential for road safety.
Keeping a safe distance gives a driver enough time to make critical decisions while traveling.
The video makes it clear that not being able to keep the distance can lead to accidents and thereby endanger lives.
Police officials warn that speeding before Iftar or Taraweeh prayers is the main cause of traffic accidents during the holy month.
Authorities in other emirates have also asked motorists to keep speed limits.
