Dubai: 4 gang members jailed for Dh191,000 robbery at trading company

The Dubai criminal court convicted five Asians and another man were robbed at a Dubai-based general trading company.

The court sentenced Asians in their presence and another in absentia to three years in prison and fined them 114,000 dirhams for stealing 191,000 dirhams from the safe of a trading company in the Al Nakheel area of​​Dubai. A portion of the stolen money was confiscated by the police from the gang.

The gang had earlier been arrested in connection with the theft. The court passed sentence in the presence of the accused. The tragic incident took place in September last year. The company manager had complained that the Asian gang. He said he received a phone call from the company account officer, he told me he had been assaulted by an Asian gang, and stealed the money after tie him.

The police investigation proved the complaint to be true and the Asian gang was arrested with part of the stolen money in their possession. Later the gang divided the money between them and sent a portion of the money to their families in their home countries.

The court acquitted a building guard of aiding and abetting burglars. The Asian gang had admitted that the company had robbed the guard by cheating him.
