Dubai: Man stabs wife multiple times outside employer's villa, jailed for 5 years

The Dubai criminal court sentenced to five years in prison for attempting to kill his wife inside at a villa in Jumeirah Dubai. The criminal court convicted Asian man found guilty. The tragic incident took place in August last year.

A European woman has complained to Dubai police that her husband tried to kill her Asian maid. According to the complaint, the accused stabbed the maid several times near the gate of his villa.

 The maid's husband requested to enter the villa but was not allowed. He requested and was allowed to speak near the main gate of the villa but there was a verbal dispute between the maid and her husband then she asked to leave.  However, the complainant testified that he stabbed the maid several times in the neck and various parts of her body with the knife he was holding in his hand.

 The victim testified that her husband had repeatedly asked her to stay away from working as a maid in a European woman's villa and that he had refused.

On the day of the incident, he went to work and demanded payment. The victim said her husband accused her of adultery and claimed that there was someone else in her room at her workplace.

The investigation team was able to locate and arrest the culprit. He testified that he attacked his wife with a knife but did not intend to kill her. Considering this, the court passed the sentence.
